So essentially, that last vote goes pretty well and it turns out that Sydney goes in what I believe to be a 5-2-1-1 vote. If I had to guess then, I'd say that the votes probably went something like this:
Sydney: Brandon B, Chase, Tyson, Elisabeth, Erik(?)
Erik: Adam
Chase: Sandra, Brandon Q
Tyson: Sydney(?)
Of course, it's entirely possible that Sydney self-voted and Erik voted for Tyson. Of course, I didn't see a self-vote in there, so I don't think that's how it went. It's also possible that Sydney self-voted and Elisabeth decided to try and throw some sort of wrench in things to weaken our old tribe dynamics, which she really doesn't need to do. Nonetheless though, she's been really good about working with me since the merge and I'm starting to be glad that I spent the time talking to her as soon as she came in as a replacement that I did because it looks like it's paying off. Tyson's been throwing a bit of a fit though that his name was written down and he's entirely convinced that Erik is going to practically keep voting him come hell or high water regardless of whether or not it's the smart thing to do or not. Pretty much, he just needs to chill the hell out and calm down. If he REALLY wants Erik out that much then fine, we can do it a couple of rounds later if it'll shut him up about it, but for the next couple of rounds we at least need to APPEAR as if we're entirely unified and that people have to jump on board and vote with us to save themselves short term if they don't want to be next.
Also, Brandon Q threw a huge fit at me for Sydney going and was all "everybody lied to me!" and started making a big deal about it saying I did too. He has to remember two things though. 1. Sometimes when your tribe comes into a merge down in numbers, the situation calls for it in order to actually survive. Survival breeds invention sometimes. And 2. I just told him that he WASN'T going to be going home last round, I never said "this is how I'm voting" and he never asked me how I was. He can't really go on about me lying over things that he never tried to find out about. Yes there are some things that you would expect your allies to tell you about but really, I don't think we've necessarily been allies since the merge so I'm not sure how he could figure I was under some obligation to tell him like I did Tyson, Chase, and Elisabeth.
It's strange because Elisabeth is doing a good job of furthering her position in this game so far and her coming to me with stuff is showing me that I can trust her. She doesn't really seem like she'd be a jury threat at the end of the game, but she could surprise me if I don't make sure that I keep control of the situation. I mean, as it is now, she's already in a Final 4 alliance with myself, Chase, and Tyson, which puts her ahead of Erik, who she probably figures will go at 5. Whether she thinks I'm tightest with Tyson (which I'm actually not, even if he's a good and relatively close one), or Chase (who has been my most loyal ally in this since day 1 or 2), I'm not sure on. However, she probably figures if she plays her cards right, she might be able to wind up in the Final 3 over him with myself and Chase, which could well be the case if I think I have a better shot with her at around that point.
Speaking of Tyson, he seems to want Sandra gone this round for I guess the reason that unlike Brandon Q who we know is going to be after us and going in a certain manner about things, we're not sure how Sandra operates. Yeah, according to Elisabeth, she and BQ (Brandon Q) are coming after me/Chase/Tyson because of some giant majority thing, but she also suggested a Final 4 alliance to me with BQ/her/Adam, which leads me to believe that those three are ALSO pretty tight amongst themselves. Whatever the case is though, I think either BQ or Sandra going is probably the best bet at this point.
